the concrete patio tables were delivered today.
yes, two of them.
they were F&%#ing heavy and
i think i may have bruised myself
or got a callous or something, i am sure.
the tops were a hideous burgundy
which lasted only mere minutes
and they got a nice coat of tremclad
matte white.

now to rest for the next 9 hours

not only is it better looking, but better for you.

last weekend i was doing some baking.
yes, i bake... it was probably the influence of my grandmother
because my mother doesn't cook, let alone bake.

i don't really follow recipes, i just use them as a guide and doctor
up the recipe where it seems fit.
take this recipe for example...

GlutenFree Rice Bran Muffins
71 g. rice bran
80 g. brown sugar
2 eggs
5 ml. soda
260 g brown rice flour
32 g butter
32 g molasses
71 g buttermilk

combine the dry ingredients, combine the wet
and mix the two together, bake at 190'C for 30 minutes.

quite simple and easy
until you doctor it up.
i replaced the buttermilk with yogurt
(to keep it more moist)
and added 2 mashed ripe bananas for
more flavor.

the only problem was, that i forgot to add the soda.
they didn't rise and were as heavy and solid as hockey pucks.
high in fiber, tasted really great but man, you'd have one
and felt full for 4 hours afterwards

the thing with ipods
is that you need.
well, you don't need
but you want.
i started off with ipod 20GB
then got itrip and italk
which kept me entertained
for a little while.
ipod shuffle came along
and replaced the ipod.
the ipod sits there plugged into
the stereo and the itrip and italk
gather dust along with various
silicon ipod covers.
what toys played with the most?
Keurig coffee maker
V3 razr mobile phone
and the fixed ibook
but they too will end
up gathering dust when they aren't
so fabulous anymore.

soon my new fixation will be
on being outside.
tomorrow morning my concrete
patio table is being delivered.

Canada formally became the fourth country in the world to legalize gay marriages on Wednesday after the Senate overwhelmingly approved the legislation.

The Netherlands became the first country to offer full civil marriage rights to gay couples in 2001.

In neighbouring Belgium gay marriages were allowed in 2003.

In June 2005, Spanish MPs voted in favour of allowing gay couples to marry and adopt children.

this morning i did an interview for a u.s. magazine for that company
and i was very nervous beforehand but my 'thing' is to find
that human connection so we are just people talking.
the reporter was in NYC and the heat/humidity (32'C) there right now is
unbearable. (according to regis and kelly this morning)
i told him how it was a lovely 26'C here and i think we were both jealous of each other.
after that it was smooth sailing with 'just answer the questions' kind of interview.

tomorrow i have my last promotion to do with that other company
that i am only doing because of the sick amount of cash.
yes, yes, i am a sell out.
it is a tv news brief that i am doing tomorrow (i hate 'live tv')
plus the cashola is great to help pay for One.

can i get everyone lined up
all the girls to the left
all the guys to the right
i'll start off singing,
and you can join in when you
are ready...

One singular sensation
Every little step he takes.
One thrilling combination
Every move that he makes.
One smile and suddenly nobody else will do;
You know you'll never be lonely with you know who.
One moment in his presence
And you can forget the rest.
For the guy is second best
To none,
Son.

so why am i singing 'One'?
One is the name of my new
puppy.
he arrives late august and
is a purebred italian greyhound.

why the name One?
he was a single in a litter.
just one.
he is the one.
One.

the other day, i was checking out the above at William Sonoma
and LOVED it. thinking 'no more instant coffee'
i couldn't get any help in the store so i thought i would poke
around the mall for a bit, then come back.

A Story From When I Was Eight

With very little in my brain to write about, Nefariously Evil Kerewin (N.E.K.) came up with this brilliant idea and suggested we write something about when we were eight. The school year that I was eight was pretty much a school year of fun. That time in my life I can remember that school was fun. I was the kind of kid that was either in trouble, or getting other kids into trouble. I am not really certain WHY I was able to make the other kids do things for my enjoyment, maybe they just were the kind of kids that always did what they were told to do.

Anyway, my friend Vicki was fascinating. At the time she was just a crazy kid with hair that looked like she cut it herself, always mismatched her socks, wore the same old goat-like sweater to school everyday, had freckles that went on for days, smelled vaguely of cat box, and basically was my best friend. She was a highly suggestive person, and all I had to do was plant the seed, and we'd be laughing for hours. or was it me laughing, and her oblivious?
I think she was my first fag hag... as it all adds up now when I think about it.

Vicki would often put her pencil's eraser into her belly button and then the charcoal/graphite part hell, it could have been lead as it was so long ago would hold her sweater out, making her look like she had an extreme outtie belly button. To a dreadfully bored kid, myself, it entertained me for hours. I would get lost in a giggle loop and no matter how hard I tried to erase the image out of my head, it would go around, and around... to the point where the teacher would have to put me in the front row.

Thinking about Vicki has me thinking about my poor white trash self. I never bathed. My mom cut my hair into a bowl cut and permed it. I wore my Six Million Dollar Man button up shirt almost everyday... Lee Majors was way hot... K, I was 8 right!

she works at a vietnamese restaurant.
she was on that damned cell phone from
the moment we walked in until the moment we left.
that was the last time i am going there.
the food was great, but the service... well... it sucked my anal canal.
